Looking for contractor who is experienced with building complex and dynamic web user interfaces that are aesthetic, elegant and easy to maintain.
Contractor will be working on high-end JavaScript framework. A combination of strong experience with client-side technologies such as JavaScript, HTML and CSS with a strong object oriented and software engineering background in desktop and/or server side user facing development mixed with a motivated attitude is the key to this position.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of our innovative JavaScript framework
- Build innovative, accessible UI components using JavaScript and semantic HTML and CSS based templates
- Lead/Collaborate to development efforts on JavaScript projects, ensuring robust, reusable & lasting solutions are implemented.
- Innovate: Design and implement things that people will blog and Twitter about.
Minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience with front end web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional software experience with desktop and/or server side development, preferably both (Objective-C, Ruby, Java...)
- Strong object oriented background a must
- Experience developing reusable APIs
- Strong technical leadership in JavaScript as a language outside of existing libraries
- Strive to use web standards to build solutions using semantic markup and CSS.
- Understanding of all major browsers and the special coding required for all various quirks.
- Aware of the interactions between JavaScript and HTML & CSS, and can dynamically create, modify, and style elements on a page with ease.
- Good knowledge of application server technology and front-end code integration
- Able to communicate front-end issues with back-end developers
- Development experience with Objective C, Cocoa, Cocoa Touch a plus
- Previous contribution to an open source framework a plus
- Comfortable with source version control software (CVS, SVN, Git)
- Strong analytical, written communication and verbal agility
- Excitement and passion to work on amazing products
- Passion for product quality and natural attention to details
- Comfortable with rapid development cycles, tight schedules
- Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced development team
Education:
BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience), MS is preferred.
