Production Planner

Job Description:
We are in search of a Production Planner. The successful candidate will:
• Create forecast schedules to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecast or customer orders.
• Plan and schedule workflow for established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
• Work with supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
• Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
• Compute amount of material required to complete job orders.
• Arrange in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a production planner
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
